…or oh joy, someone’s going to knit what I designed!
A few of us Ravelers were thinking about making a one skein project together, and since I never organized a KAL (KnitALong), I thought this could be the right opportunity. I’ve decided to start with something small, and a drawstring bag came to mind, that used even less than one skein of yarn. the moss stitch on the sides makes it more stretchy, so it’s perfect for small, on the go projects or to keep small balls of yarn.
Although I knitted this with worsted weight yarn it can very easily be adapted to any other one skein of yarn, thus making it bigger or smaller. It has a cat pattern in it and right now it’s in the blocking phase:
Why a cat? Because it’s to celebrate my 3 year old stray orange tabby who asked for food, shelter and love. And he multiplies the gratitude and love so much that it’s literally immeasurable. The PDF will be ready for a free download from this blog in a couple of days and I will announce the day of the KAL shortly, so stay tuned if you want to participate.
Did I mention that the last part of the construction will be followed by photographs and that it’s completely beginner-friendly because you only need to know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off? 🙂
